Our Tapana Valencia quarry in itself forms the core of our sand and gravel operations. Tapana, Valencia, is fitted with a large gravel processing plant which has a capacity to produce in excess of three thousand five Hundred (3,500) metric tonnes of processed material daily. Currently, we are in the process of upgrading our Capacity through the recent (Jan 2009) acquisition of a state of the art Sand & Gravel Washing and Screening Plant with a capacity of 350 TPH.
While most of the production of this plant is used internally in the company’s production operations, the aggregate and sand produced at Tapana are also of suitable quality for high specification readymixed concrete designs. As such, we further utilise these as raw material inputs for both our block manufacturing segment and our readymixed concrete segment. The result is an exceptionally high quality finished product that not only meets, but far exceeds industry standards for concrete masonry units.
Our operations maintain the highest standards of environmental compliance. The Group is committed to ensuring that its operations are carried out in an environmentally friendly, sustainable manner. To this end we have committed ourselves to implementing industry accepted Best Management Practices in all aspects of our operations. The Group pioneered the use of closed loop sedimentation and water recycling within the local sand and gravel mining/quarrying sector.
